Caryl ran her own business in the tourism industry for 18 years. During this time she sat on various academic boards and training committees. When she sold the business in 2001 it was an easy progression to move into the TAFE sector at William Angliss Institute as Manager of Travel & Tourism. Caryl has completed her Masters in Tourism and holds a Graduate Certificate in VET.

A leader in mobile learning, Caryl has introduced new ways of delivering training at William Angliss. She is a regular presenter to domestic and international conferences, workshops and seminars both on technology and the pedagogy changes that are needed to exploit increasing mobility. Caryl embraces new technology with enthusiasm and has developed many techniques to help her peers and colleagues take their first steps in this direction.

Always looking forward, Caryl rejoices in seeing “the light go on” in learners of all ages and styles and like to be one step ahead of the pack looking for the next challenge!

As a Project Manager at the TAFE Development Centre Caryl looks after the TAFE Teaching Fellows, Coaching and Mentoring and, of course, LarnScope and e-Learning.
